The end is near
Wow i can't believe that we have only one class left. Although four weeks ago i was so ready for this day now that we only have one project to work on and i am not so overwhelmed i am a little sad for the class to be ending. I really enjoyed my saturday's and as much as everyone would look at me in disbelief when i told them i had a 6 hour class on saturday's, i loved it!

I loved it, too. It was much easier to get up on Saturday mornings and go to class than it was any other day of the week to go to work. I like that I got to be creative (really creative, not corporate creative), the discussions were relevant and I met some cool people. Hopefully, some of which, I'll have more classes with in the future.
When I tell a friend/family member/co-worker about the 6 hour Sat class, almost everyone shrinks back in horror. Then they give me this suspicious look when I say 'it's really not that bad.'
I don't like the stress of the class but I've learned a lot and have enjoyed the time spent in class. If it were up to me, I'd change things about the pace of the class but all in all, it's been a fantastic experience.
The biggest surprise from it is realizing the stress and my reaction to it. I'm not on board with how stressed I've been. I'm usually very even keel during stressful things and this has rocked my world a bit.
OK, that's enough of my confessional. ;)
End is near, and the work continues. It was a good but difficult class. When, I think of the projects we started out with, we've come a long way. I think that Allison should incorporate some of her planning ideas into the great minds of the students that walk through W&I class. Every since I heard the teacher was a planning junkie, It's been on my mind. I would love to see how she'd lay out planning for three projects at a time. I'm sure it's awesome. I used to be a planning freak before I had some many things to juggle.
ha! I got that look, too, when I mentioned the Saturday class. I enjoyed having a solid block of time on a non-work day to just focus on class. And an entire free day the next didn't hurt, either.
I am glad I took this class as my first in the grad program. It was a great way to really interact with our classmates and get the creative juices rolling.
It was fun.
